About the event
The NUFA Awards 2025 represent a significant milestone in our region's cultural landscape. As the first film awards dedicated to Northern Uganda, our mission is to establish an annual award gala that honours and celebrates the efforts of our local filmmakers. This event seeks not only to entertain but to preserve our rich cultural heritage by showcasing native stories with universal themes that inspire and resonate with audience on a global scale. We hope this will amplify the voices, experiences, and traditions of the people of Northern Uganda, recognizing their contributions to the arts and their role in telling compelling narratives that reflect our unique cultural identity. Invitations have been sent to the esteemed filmmakers (who forms the main fabric of this event), leaders, potential partners, sponsors and other stakeholders.
